Resiliency, managing rejection (especially in a virtual world), and the intersection of career and mental health will be included in a  webinar presented by Lauren Lyon, Career Engagement Educator for Graduate Students at University of California, Irvine.  Postdocs and Assistant Research Professors will understand how to develop lifelong resiliency; and take action steps now as they navigate their careers/job search

Lauren Lyon has over 10 years’ experience successfully helping clients across the lifespan navigate their educational and professional journeys. Her experiences range from assisting children and their families in K-12 to PhDs and Postdocs at private and public universities. Lyon also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education & Psychology where she teaches a graduate-level Career Development course. She has also served as a therapist for a local community mental health clinic and is passionate about serving individuals of all backgrounds.

Lyon holds a Master’s degree in Educational & Clinical Counseling, a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling, and is a licensed professional clinical counselor. Lyon’s education and diverse experiences make her uniquely qualified at helping individuals build competitive applications while developing their distinct professional brands and securing meaningful careers.
