Briefly explain your interest in deliberative pedagogy and to identify at least one course you would like to introduce deliberation into (preferably a Spring 2023 course but other courses may be considered). Please describe what aspect of your teaching, course design, or other pedagogic practice you plan to address by examining the theories and techniques associated with deliberation. You are welcome to identify uncertainties in your own professional practice that you believe a renewed attention to the dynamics associated with classroom deliberation may help you address. *
Please confirm your availability to attend the required full day deliberative pedagogy orientation workshop on Friday, August 11 (breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be included) that will be held on the Davidson campus. Accommodations and travel will be covered for non-Davidson faculty. *
Please confirm your availability to attend the required two 4-hour deliberation facilitator training sessions on Sunday, September 10, 2023 and Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. *
