The HDNR Diversity,  Equity and Inclusion committee advances HDNR’s commitment to DEI through support of students, and guidance on the department’s research, administration and teaching, to establish an environment which enables all students, faculty and staff to learn and thrive.  We lead initiatives, organize trainings, coordinate the annual HDNR Diversity and Inclusion Award, and respond to opportunities and concerns. We also serve as liaison to diversity and inclusion efforts at the College and University levels. The committee includes faculty, staff, and students.

We will accept up to two undergraduate students and two graduate students to join the committee. We will prioritize applications that balance representation from across our programs. Student committee members will be asked to serve a term of at least one academic year, after which you may re-apply to join the committee in future years.

This application will be available until 11:59 pm, Thursday, April 28, 2022. Selections will be made and applicants notified by Friday, May 6, 2022. If selected for this committee, you will be expected to attend all committee meeting for the Fall and Spring semester next academic year. We will meet approximately 1-2 times per month. Days and times for these meeting will be determined in early Fall 2022
