2024 Faculty Academy Registration - May 15-17
The Future Readiness Faculty Academy is designed as an opportunity for higher education faculty across disciplines to learn about and experiment with various types of leading edge technology currently in use in business and industry. This year, in addition to other activities, we will offer one- to two-hour workshops specifically to provide information about technology used in a variety of fields so each attendee will be able to design a personal schedule to suit their learning goals. A speaker focused on diversity and inclusion will also provide multiple whole-group sessions throughout the event.

Stipend:
As a participant of Faculty Academy, a stipend is available to you, at a rate of $400, for participating. To receive the stipend, you must attend all three days of the Academy, as well as complete a new or revised assignment, called a TechFusion, that you can integrate into your course(s) this upcoming year.

Those who can attend for only a portion of the time or who prefer to not create a new or revised assignment are welcome to attend the event as well, but will not be eligible to receive a stipend.

Locations and Times:
Each day of the Faculty Academy will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m (8:30 a.m. if you want a light breakfast). The primary location for the Faculty Academy activities will be the Penn State New Kensington campus (3550 Seventh Street Road, New Kensington, PA 15068), although some one- to two-hour workshops/activities may be located off-campus, taking place at regional sites. More information about the off-site events and Academy agendas will be updated on the website. The agenda is being adjusted as registrations occur!

Limiting Registrations
While we don't want to limit registrations, we do have to be inclusive to representatives from as many of the regional colleges/universities as are able to attend. Therefore, we will be accepting the first four applicants from each college/university that register. We will use the registration date and time stamp to make sure that we are accepting the first four registrants, and then creating a waiting list. Once we've reached the deadline of April 30, we will fill available space with faculty from the waiting list and schools that have already reached the maximum four registrations. We'll use the date and time stamp and accept faculty #5 from each school, and so on.
