Use this form to register for the first ever Virginia Farm Festival Culinary Competition at Meadow Event Park on Saturday, May 6th. Entries may be made by a group or an individual.
Additional information will be sent via email prior to the event. Recipes are required. ALL entries must arrive no later than Saturday, May 6th at 12:00 PM. Judging will take place at 12:30 PM.
1. Directions
for preparing the recipe must be clear; measurements should be in level cups,
tablespoons, teaspoons or fractions thereof; also include pan size, cooking
temperature, number of servings and any other pertinent information. Recipe
should serve between 4-6 servings.
2. Judging
will be based on Taste/Flavor (60%), Creativity (10%), Ease of Preparation
(15%) Presentation (15%).
3. Decision
of the judges will be final.
4. Upon
submission recipes become the property of the State Fair of Virginia and Virginia Farm Festival, which reserves the right to edit,
adapt, copyright, publish and use for publicity, promotion or advertising
without compensation.
5. Entries
must be presented at the festival ready for judging.
6. The
cooking contest superintendent and/or contest sponsor reserves the right to
make any changes or decisions prior to or during the contest as deemed
necessary. Their decision will be final.
