Supporting Liberatory Learning: Understanding and Healing Internalized Oppression
WELCOME CHANGE AGENTS!

We want to thank you for enrolling in the Supporting Liberatory Learning: Understanding and Healing Internalized Oppression.

Course Purpose:
To effectively support liberation in educational contexts and beyond, educators and professionals, must first examine their own relationship with power (e.g., What is power? What power do I have? What is my relationship with my power? How do I support youth in the budding awareness of their own power?).

In this course learners will examine the dynamics of power and privilege and increase their capacity to scaffold and support the socio-emotional development of NYC youth and create empowering environments in which they can exercise their voice and agency.

Seven books (at no cost to you) will be provided for this course.

REMINDER: This class is 100% remote and will begin on Nov. 29th and Nov. 30th.

By signing this agreement, you are confirming your full participation in the CHANGE AGENT ACADEMY class.

If you have any questions, please do contact Nicole Yarde at nyarde@schools.nyc.gov

We look forward to being in community with you.

Sincerely,

Office of Equity and Access
