The mission of Scott Home & School (H&S) is to encourage and facilitate a cooperative partnership among students, parents/guardians, and Scott staff and administration to support and enhance the school experience of each student. We are looking for a Treasurer for the 2021-2022 school year. If you would like to volunteer or nominate someone, please complete this form by Monday, March 1. A proposed slate of the Executive Board officers will be presented to the H&S Board at the March H&S meeting.

Treasurer (2-year term)
The Treasurer shall receive, disperse, and keep an accurate account of all Association funds. The treasurer shall present financial reports to the Board at each meeting and yearly reports and QuickBooks file to the General Home & School to be reviewed for the annual audit. The Treasurer will help in the preparation of the budget; manage all bank deposits, check requests, and reconciliations of bank accounts; and review Profit & Loss and Transaction reports for accuracy. The Treasurer works closely with the Executive Board and Committee Chairs to establish and manage fundraising and expense budgets. Organizational skills, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and comfort with numbers and financial concepts are important for this role. The Treasurer’s duties are more time intensive at the start of the month when reconciling bank accounts and running reports. On an average week without a major fundraiser occurring, the time involved is approximately 1-3 hours. During reconciliation/report weeks, the time involved is 2-5 hours. During weeks of many events or events with high levels of fundraising, the time involved can be 5-10 hours.
