Boston Families Building Boston Schools
Dear Boston Families,

We have two important announcements to share with you today.

First, that as a result of hundreds of perspectives and voices we have been privileged to hear since last September, our work will now be pivoting from listening to action, and we need your help with this effort.

We heard, loudly and clearly, from students and families alike that details are needed on what a return to school will look like, and we will demand a COVID-19 re-entry plan from city and school officials with detailed budget and programming information for families to review that will include:

Providing a safe reopening of school in September 2021.
Providing high-quality remote learning if and when school is not open.
Providing social and emotional student supports.
Providing teaching and learning to address COVID learning loss.
Providing college and career counseling to all high school students.

As always, we need your support as we embark on this next step, so please sign on to these core reopening measures here in English (or here in Spanish, Haitian Creole or Cape Verdean Creole).

Second, please plan to join us for a small group session where we will discuss this plan of action in more detail and seek your feedback. Your feedback is essential so we can best move forward as we demand a plan. *We will be recording*

Thank you,
