Seeking Candidates for IBS Secretary
The International Biometric Society is seeking candidates for for the office of Society Secretary. All suggestions will be considered by the Society's nominating committee, chaired by Past President Louise Ryan. We are eager to generate a diverse field of candidates so particularly welcome suggestions for qualified women, as well as candidates from Regions that have not typically been represented among our Officers. Since our current officers are from Europe and North America, we welcome nominations of candidates from other regions throughout the world.
While we encourage nominations of younger people, suitable candidates should be well respected in their field and have a relatively senior appointment at their institution (e.g. Professor level if based at a University). Candidates should ideally have a track record of service to IBS, for example having served on IBS Council or the Executive Board or having served as a Regional Officer.
Nominations may be submitted by any IBS member. Interested individuals are welcome to nominate themselves as well. For self nominations or nominations by IBS members who are not current or past officers, it would help if you could provide the name of an Officer (regional or international level) who has agreed to support the nomination.
