Experience One has allowed me to get real hands on experience that most students in my major have to wait until graduate school to get. Experience One has also let me build stronger relationships with my professors which has helped me with getting jobs in the field. Taking one class at a time has helped me be able to have more flexibility to take on projects that will prepare me for the professional world.

2023 Season
In the past two seasons the Bulldogs have broken almost every school record
- 2022 - Most team digs per set in a season with 19.78
- 2023 - Most team digs in a season with 2,174
- 2023 - Most kills in a season with 1,467
- 2023 - Most kills per set in a season with 12.76
- 2023 - Most blocks per set in a season with 2.30
- 2023 - Most blocks in a season with 267
- 2023 - Most assists per set with 12.03
- 2023 - Most points per game with 16.26
In the 2023 season UMW volleyball claimed the title for Frontier Conference Tournament Champions, earning their first bid to the NAIA National Tournament since 2003.
Continuing with the 2023 season, UMW Volleyball earned the first ever National Tournament win during the Opening Round, and went on to the first ever National Tournament Final Site appearance.

What we look for in a recruit:
Character: How athletes interact with their teammates, coaches, parents, etc. will show a lot about that athlete. Build your teammates up and be respectful to those around you.
Positive Attitude: Next ball mentality - we've all heard it, but can you execute it? When things don't go your way, how will you react? We look for athletes who can face adversity with a positive outlook and who can learn from each situation.
Athletic Ability: Your ability to perform within practice and in a game, as well as your willingness to accept coaching. We will look for your ability to rise to challenges and accept the pressures of different situations.
Academics: Student-athletes are students first. Your ability to put your academics at the forefront is of upmost importance.
