Do Space is ready to kick off a summer full of programs for all ages.

Code, Make, Learn, & Explore this summer with the Do Space Summer Passport Program. This year, get ready to explore Omaha, discover new things, and most importantly, HAVE FUN. Our Summer Passport Program is a FREE resource that engages youth in tech-related educational activities all summer long.

Starting on Saturday, May 15th, come pick up your Passport booklet from the Information Desk at Do Space. The first 100 passports come with the materials to complete the Paper Circuit Project Kit activity during the Summer Kickoff Mini-Con. Passports will be available all summer long for those that want them.

Next, join us Saturday, June 5th, at 10:00am on Zoom as we officially launch Do Space Summer 2021 with a virtual Mini-Con PACKED with activities. Mr. C, the creator of the YouTube channel LearningScienceIsFun will be jumpstarting the event with a shockingly fun STEM activity. We will follow that up by teaching a computer how to feel, participating in an exciting coding activity brought to you by the Mystery Code Society, and we will wrap the event by making your summer passport come to life using circuits! You can register for the Mini-Con HERE!

Mini-Con Schedule:

10:00am: STEM: Shockingly Fun and Engaging! Featuring Mr. C!

11:00am: Machine Learning: Teach a Computer How to Feel.

12:00pm: CODE! With the Mystery Code Society

1:00pm: Summer Passport Project: Rocket Paper Circuit

After the Mini-Con, head over to Beanstack and register for your digital passport. Your digital passport is where you will keep track of all of your completed Summer Passport Program activities. With each activity you complete, you will earn 100 points. The more points you earn, the more prizes you will win! Between June 5th and August 30th, you may redeem your points for prizes by showing us your prize badge at Do Space. Prizes may be claimed all-at-once or individually.

Prizes:

200 Points: Mini Building Blocks Animal Set

500 Points: Laser Cut Slot Slot Sculpture Kit

1000 Points: Do Space Summer T-Shirt or Drawstring Bag

Finally, the last part of our Summer Passport Program is our take home project kits. Every two weeks starting June 5th, we will be unveiling TWO new projects for you to take home and complete. These projects will teach you all about circuits, binary code, solar power, and so much more.

Each project kit will come with the necessary parts, a content list, an educational one-pager explaining the project, and link to our Summer website for visual instructions.

There will be 100 of each project kit available; kits can be picked up from the Information Desk at any time throughout the summer at Do Space, and there is a limit of two project kits per individual. Each project will be available as long as supplies last. See the schedule below.
