Susie A. Laughlin ScholarshipIn order to receive a scholarship, a student must graduate from a Beaverton School District high school and have attended a Beaverton School District high school at least two consecutive semesters immediately prior to the semester during which the scholarship awards are determined. (e.g., A student must have attended a BSD HS including Early College High School for the entire second semester in the junior year and all of the senior year.). Scholarship amount $500-$1000. One scholarship of at least $500 must be designated for an applicant entering a program which is not designed to lead to a baccalaureate degree. Criteria to be considered are as follows: (random order)

Post high school training or education plans
Potential for significant future contribution to society
Economic need
Academic excellence

LaVerne F. Fuller ScholarshipThe Laverne F. Fuller Scholarship was established in July, 2011, in memory of Mrs. Laverne F. Fuller. The scholarship supports female students who intend to enroll in a vocational or trade school, community college or university upon graduating from high school. This one-time, non-renewable scholarship will award $1,000 to two (2) graduating seniors. Applicants must be enrolled in their last year of high school in the Beaverton School District and must meet the following selection criteria:

Graduating senior
Identify as a female student
Intend to enroll in vocational/trade school, community college or university upon graduation
Commitment to volunteerism and community service
Self-initiator

Superintendent's ScholarshipThe Superintendent’s scholarship is being offered to three (3) graduating seniors attending ACMA, Early College and ISB. A $1,000 scholarship will be offered to one student at each school. PLEASE USE YOUR BSD EMAIL TO ACCESS APPLICATION.

Students may apply who reside within the boundaries of Beaverton School District and who will be attending a four-year college/university (public or private) or a two-year community college.

Applicants will be selected based on:
1. The student is a minority or has endured and overcome a life obstacle and has demonstrated the grit and determination necessary for future success
2. The student has a financial need
3. The student has been accepted and will be attending a four-year or two-year college/community college this fall; and
4. The student is able to articulate the career goals/interest and educational plan for achieving them

ABSA Scholarship (Association of Beaverton School District Administrators)The Association of Beaverton School District Administrators (ABSA) is pleased to announce its continued sponsorship of a longstanding and proud tradition. This year’s ABSA Scholarship will again award up to five applicants with $1,500 to use for post-secondary education.

ABSA Scholarship applications from the Class of 2022 are now being accepted through Google Forms. A link to the application can be found here or at https://forms.gle/1LwQAhcdJhNHZoe1A Please note that applicants will be asked to use their BSD email account and upload a copy of their transcript as part of this process. Completed Google Form applications must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2.

Please feel free to share this information with any 12th grade student who meets the scholarship’s criteria. Applicants must graduate from a Beaverton School District high school, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and have attended school within the district during their entire junior and senior years. In addition, he or she must be involved in school and/or community activities, demonstrate financial need (excludes students who receive full scholarships), communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, and have a strong goal orientation and good character.

Approximately ten (10) scholarship finalists will be invited to interview with ABSA Scholarship Committee members on Wednesday, May 18. Five (5) scholarship recipients will be recognized at the District Leadership Meeting on June 8.

BMAC Scholarship (Beaverton Minority Administrators Community. "Make a Difference" ScholarshipThe Beaverton Minority Administrators Community (BMAC) “Make a Difference” Scholarship was established by BMAC on November 30, 2017. The scholarship was established to provide financial aid to Beaverton School District’s graduating seniors who wish to pursue post high school education with a focus on teaching as a profession. BMAC members contribute and raise funds annually to the scholarship fund. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist with the District’s “grow our own teacher” effort to increase the diversity of BSD’s teacher workforce so that our teacher demographics reflect those of our students. 1 Scholarship $1500. Selection Criteria: The recipient must:
● graduate from a Beaverton School District high school
● identify as a member of community/communities that are historically underrepresented in the teacher workforce
● be interested in pursuing teaching as a profession
● be accepted into an accredited 2- or 4-year college/university during the 22-23 academic year
● have attended school within the District during the entire junior and senior years
● demonstrate financial need
● be involved in school, community, and/or family activities to promote social justice
● demonstrate strong individual determination and good character

OASBO Scholarship (Oregon Association of School Business Officials) - Promising Futures ScholarshipOregon high school seniors or college freshman currently registered as a full-time student at an accredited community college, college, or university located in Oregon are eligible for this scholarship. Students who are interested in and have declared a major in a field relating to school business management are welcome to apply. School business encompasses a wide variety of duties including accounting, financial planning, business enterprise, benefits and payroll, and public administration. Students need to graduate from a high school located in and live within the state of Oregon. Applicants must be accepted as a full-time student, as defined by the accredited school the student plans to attend. Applicants should demonstrate how they value their community, participate in school activities, and their desire to give back to public education. A minimum 3.0 overall GPA is required. Beaverton Rotary ScholarshipsThere are applications and instructions for new applicants, and renewal applications for those student awarded in previous years and eligible to renew their scholarships. Awardees are edible to renew up to four years. Beaverton Rotary Club is committed to our community’s youth and their education. We did not want any eligible applicant to miss the opportunity to apply for our scholarships. We have added a scholarship page to our website. Applications can be downloaded, completed and submitted to our scholarship committee by our extended deadline of April 15th.
