Community Conversation Series 2024 
Dear Community Members, 

The Borough of State College, Community Conferencing, and the Center for Social Change and Belonging at Penn State are excited to announce the first event in our 2024 Community Conversations Series. Our first topic will be: Economic Justice: Food Insecurity. 

Community Conversations are quarterly community building dialogues that help to spread awareness and restoration on a variety of matters in Centre County. In 2023 the Community Conversations held four dialogues on, Policing in Communities of color, Equity in Housing, The State of the LGBT+ Community and the Intersectionality of Race, Gender, and Economic Justice. Conversations begin with a panel event where we hear from local community experts followed by a group discussion aimed at creating community-based action(s). 

NEW EVENT STRUCTURE:
45 minute panel discussion with local experts 
45 minute group discussion (audience & panelists) focused on community action to address the problem of food insecurity in our community.
