2024 Upward Bound Summer Student Job Application
Instructor Assistants (IAs) are required to attend class they are assisting with, and help instructors with: classroom management, grading, grade entry, and occasional lesson planning. IAs must attend a minimum of 3 Study Hall sessions per week (Study Hall takes place on Sunday - Thursdays, 7:45 - 9:30 pm), as well as weekly instructional staff meetings. IAs report directly to their assigned Instructor as well as the CUUB Director. 

Applicants can be an IA for more than 1 course for additional hours.

Summer dates: Mandatory staff Orientation: June 3-5, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Program dates: June 10 - July 19, 2024

Math (Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calc, Calc, Statistics): MWF 9:30 - 11:45 am
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology): T TH 9:30 - 11:45 am
Native Pathways (I, II, III): MWF 1:30 - 2:45 pm
Spanish: T TH 9:30 - 12:00 pm
Public Speaking: T TH 9:30 - 12:00 pm
Intro to Ethnic Studies: T TH 9:30 - 12:00 pm
Writing & Literature (Creative Writing, Research & Writing, Senior Writing):
MWF 9:30 - 11:45 am
Electives (Science Fiction & Fantasy, Intro to Indian Law, Health on the Rez): T &TH 2:00 - 3:30 pm
