Join us and NSU’s Veteran faculty and staff in writing letters for our troops serving our country. Come prepared to write a message from the heart for our servicemen and women, and to meet NSU leadership who have also served in the armed forces. Virtual letters will be printed, packed, and shipped to Operation Gratitude to be included in care packages sent to troops.

Letter Writing Tips
➔ Start with a salutation, such as “Dear Hero” or “Dear Brave One”                                                                                                           ➔ Express your thanks for their selfless service.                                                                                                                                          ➔ Please do not include the date or year.                                                                                                                                                    ➔ Avoid politics completely and religion in excess; however, saying you are praying for them is wonderful.                          
➔ Share a little about yourself: Family, Hobbies, Work, School, Pets, Travel.                                                                                          
➔ Talk about life and interests: Sports, Weather, Music, Movies, Food, Books.                                                                                      ➔ Feel free to sign with your first name and last name.                                                                                                                               ➔ If you wish, include your contact information (mail or email) so the recipient can reply.
