National Council Committee and Advisory Group Interest Form for AFS-USA Volunteers
AFS-USA established the National Council, Advisory Groups, and Committees as a way to create a space where AFS volunteers and staff could work together to address organizational needs and/or challenges from a national perspective.

These national volunteer groups are forums where AFS staff and AFS volunteers representing different areas of expertise, knowledge, skills, and talents can review different areas of the organization and develop recommendations for how we can improve the processes, tools, and/or resources needed to effectively deliver and support our AFS programs, volunteers, communities, and participants. Most Advisory Groups meet via Zoom once per month.

More information about the individual Advisory Groups and Committees is available on MyAFS Help & Learning. Not all Advisory Groups and Committees are actively seeking new members at all times.

If you are interested in serving as a volunteer on an Advisory Group or Committee, and you have reviewed the information on the MyAFS Help & Learning page, the first step is to fill out the short interest form below. This form is monitored weekly. If the group that you are interested in is currently seeking new members and you are potentially a good match for their current needs (geographic location, experience, team size, etc), they will follow-up with you regarding next steps.
