The Graduate Online Teaching Practicum welcomes graduate students from the College of Arts and Architecture.

This non-credit practicum offers two options:

1) Pick and choose synchronous online and in-person presentations and events for collaboration and community building. You do not need to be teaching or assisting with a course to participate.

2) Attend required asynchronous and synchronous zoom sessions and submit 3 surveys and 2 activities. After completion, students will be awarded a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching. You need to be teaching or assisting with an online/hybrid course to qualify for this option.

• Examine useful teaching tools and resources: Canvas, Starfish, LionPath, Kaltura, and more.
• Introduce students to the best approaches to providing personalized, encouraging, and constructive feedback.
• Provide best strategies to effective communication with students.
• Collect reflective feedback to better understand their progress and overall experience, which can later be implemented to improve future offerings.
• Welcome visiting speakers with diverse voices, experiences, and perspectives.
• Create a college-wide graduate student community where each participant brings their personal contribution to the table.
