Mutua

Inspiration

The game Adopt Me on Roblox has a feature where you can trade pets and we wanted to do the same but with items we already have.

What it does

Mutua is an app that allows users to exchange goods and services without any monetary transactions. Like other marketplace apps, Mutua shows the items people have up to offer. Though, unlike those other apps, in Mutua, you don't actually purchase anything. A good or service of your own can be offered in trade for the other, and if the other party accepts your offer, both parties will exchange their goods/services at an agreed upon time and place.

How we built it

We built Mutua from a working Figma prototype, and attempted to make a semi-working service utilizing Svelte, WebGL, and Unity.

Challenges we ran into

Unity development had many unexpected issues that were outside of the engine itself; many issues regarding the IDE being used and it's addons caused multiple problems during development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are mostly proud of our FIGMA presentation, its not completely working but we had lots of fun doing it.

What we learned

We learned how to use an iFrame and FIGMA.

What's next for Mutua

It needs more features, like locating items near you and handling services like car rides, home sale, car sales, etc.
