Cultural Diversity in a
Multi-generational Workforce
Description:
This workshop is designed to highlight the areas of 'age inclusion' and 'age inclusive' for a balanced workplace. We will examine the five generations (Traditionalist, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z) as a workforce and approaches to working with each generation. As we explore the intersections of age discrimination and marginalized populations, we will also discuss the unique challenges they face.

Bio:
Georgette Cobbs is the Director of Adolescent Services and a Lecensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Georgette's experience working with adolescents and substance use spans over 25 years.

Bio:
Bianca Gutierrez is a school-based counselor providing prevention services to middele and high school aged youth. Bianca has over 11 years of experience working with foster/emancipated youth, adolescent families, and youth on probation.
|
Goals:
- Learn the importance of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) in the workplace
- Learn the importance of recognition in multi-generational interactions
- Learn the importance of intersectionality in multi-generational work environments
Objectives:
- Participants will be able to identity (3) key terms associated with cultural diversity
- Participants will be able to identify (2) healthy resolutions for promothing age inclusion
- Participants will be able to identiry (2) important reasons for understanding multi-generational work

The San Francisco Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, and LPCCs and/or LEPs. The San Francisco Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. The Course meets the qualifications for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

- Participants will join the course on time and will remain for the entire presentation. Participants will come prepared to learn and participate openly in discussion
