Summer Information for Parents

  • Free breakfast and lunch meals will be provided daily to all students attending summer school and attending district and affiliated camps and programs located in M-DCPS schools June 14 – August 13, 2021 (except July 5 Holiday). 

  • Free summer meals provided daily on campus are also available to students/children 18 and younger who are not enrolled in a program but who “walk-in” to eat breakfast and/or lunch. 

  • Curbside meal distribution will be available at 50 schools across the district for students not attending summer school or camp and not receiving meals as a daily “walk-in”. Students/children and parents/caregivers of students/children not attending summer programs may pick-up meals curbside as follows: June 15th - August 12th, 2021 Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am - 11:00 am at 50 school locations across the district (As per USDA requirements, parents must show a valid ID* for each child they are requesting to receive meals when the student/child is not present at curbside pick-up. *student ID, passport, adoption decree, report card, or other official documentation

Miami-Dade Public Library System’s Summer Reading Challenge 2021
June 5 - August 7, 2021
Open to all ages

Sign up for the Miami-Dade Public Library System’s annual Summer Reading Challenge! Every 30 minutes you spend reading or listening to a book earns you an entry into a prize drawing at the end of the challenge. During the week of July 1-7, 2021, purchases of admissions to music events, sporting events, cultural events, specified performances, movies, museums, state parks, and fitness facilities for events to be held from July 1 through December 31, 2021, will be tax-free in Florida. Purchases of certain annual passes and season tickets are also exempted.
