Description:

PURPOSE

ASM International is developing a new volume in the ASM Handbook series: Volume 11B-Characterization and Failure Analysis of Plastics. ASM is working with volume editor Todd Menna (Element Materials Technology); division editors Scott Olig (US Naval Research Laboratory), Don Duvall (Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi)), and Dan Clark (Teel Analytical Laboratories); and assistants Gregory Kamykowski (TA Instruments) and Sya Ensha (EAG Laboratories/Eurofins) to develop this volume.

We have confirmed authors for most of the articles in our Vol. 11B outline/table of contents, but still are searching for authors for a number of articles. Some of the articles will be updated versions of existing articles; some will be new articles. The articles to be revised were originally authored in 1988 and republished in 2003. In revising an article, we are looking for technology or standards updates, updated/new images (if possible), and updated examples/case studies and references. The new articles would present the current technology and applicable standards for the subject, with up-to-date images, examples/case studies, and references.
