Reporting Student Misconduct

IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY PLEASE CALL 9-1-1 and THEN SUBMIT THIS REPORT

Student Misconduct are allegations of behaviors violating the Student Code of Conduct outlined in the Student Handbook. These can include, but are not limited to classroom disruptions, physical violence, theft, etc.

How the process works
Once this form is submitted a hearing officer will be assigned to the case. They will evaluate the case to determine next steps. If a formal resolution is deemed necessary, the student will be contacted via email to set up their hearing. They have seven days to schedule. If they choose not to schedule or no-show their hearing a decision will be made in their absence based on the information available at the time. If they do choose to self-advocate they will be able to provide more context to the situation. The hearing officer is tasked with determining whether it is more likely than not a violation of the code of conduct has occurred. If yes, the student will be found responsible and educationally appropriate sanctions will be assigned. If no, the student will be found not responsible and the case will be closed.
