Thank you for your passion for human services!
As the budget process moves forward, we need your help to ensure adequate wage equity investments are applied consistently to all human service workers receiving city funding. We also need your help in telling the council to extend one-time funding so as to sustain current, successful investments in wellbeing and resilience. In 2023, the city council funded several one-time investments to address homelessness, prevent food insecurity and support survivors of gender-based violence. If these funding sources are not extended into 2024, the result will be a loss of life saving services for thousands of city residents. We recommend extending these one-time funding sources, which you can read about in more detail here.
City officials need to hear from YOU, the subject matter experts in this work. We will respond to your submission with a follow up email containing additional details. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jason Austin, Director of Organizing at jaustin@shscoalition.org
