We are interested in the role of environmental variation in shaping organismal behavior, life history strategies, population dynamics and species interactions. Our focus spans physiological, ecological and evolutionary time scales. We use butterflies as a study system, working both in the lab and field.

The lab is part of the School of the Earth, Ocean & Environment and the Dept. of Biological Sciences at the University of South Carolina. Much, but not all, of our field work is done at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory.
