Just Because of You
A Single Dad romance

CHRISTIAN COLE

I loved her.
It took a day for me to realize she was different.
It took a night for me to realize I had to let her go.

I was reckless.
She deserved everything I couldn’t give to her.
I had someone else to worry about.

AMARI SANTANA

I was in love with him.
It only took a few weeks for him to take over all of my thoughts.
It only took a few words for him to rip all we had to shreds and break me.

I left.
He stayed.
Now I’m back.

I'm not familiar with US educational system but one would assume that 24 is too young for a school principal. And considering that heroine is an immture mess she shouldn't be in charge of anyone. That kid seems more put together. Talking about kids, no 6yo I know talks like this one.
This was very surface level with the angst and tension of second-chance romance fizzling out pretty early.

Also, this was a clean romance if anyone cares.

Sweet second chance romance. I just wondered why Christian did what he did, it was all explained but I still think men are stupid sometimes. 4.5 stars with a cute HEA.

4.5-stars!

Just Because of You by Giana Gabriela was a second chance romance with so many feels. Christian and Amari were high school sweethearts and in love. But Christian made a choice that left them both broken-hearted. Amari left but years later she is back. She is determined to have nothing to do with him this time around, but Christian has very different ideas. Amari was strong, determined and stubborn. But Christian was just as determined. And his daughter was just cute and adorable. Their journey may have not been easy with so much hurt behind them, but their chemistry was undeniable. An emotional and charming second chance romance!

Life sure does sometimes throw us lemons...
Having been forced into a position of letting his High School girlfriend Amari go, despite how much he loved her, now 6 years later she's returned. When decisions taken as a teenager wet, right or wrong could be rectified. Can a love that was so shattered be reborn?
What i can say is that i loved each and every approach the author took us on with this journey.
Characters so easy to identify with, a story that pulls you in so deeply and emotionally, and angst that doesn't over take this couples path.
Amari's life has moved on, but her love for Christian Cole has never left her, and on her return and learning some truth's she torn yet again by this man who means everything to her. I loved her open heart, even though it was breaking, but i loved her spirit more!!
I just fell head over heels for Christian and you need to read the book to see why, omg that man !! He's given up so many of his dreams with no hesitation to do as he thought was the right thing. Oh yes he's definitely a keeper. His determination to win back this woman, will have you weak at the knees !! I am purposely not giving to much away because this story just needs to be read to feel it!!
Although YA this book is just a perfect romance read, one that will linger in your heart, beautifully written and i will definitely re read because i wasn't ready to let go of these characters !!!

Amalia was devasted when Christian, her high school sweetheart and the man she couldn’t imagine her future without, ends their relationship with no warning or explanation. She left town to put some physical and emotional distance between them until years later her career brings her back to her hometown.

Christian had his reasons for ending their relationship and he did it with the best of intentions. Now that she is back in town he wants a second chance but once she finds out the truth will they be able to overcome the pain of their past or will this drive them even further apart?

Christian may not have handled their past in the best way but there was no denying that even though they have both tried to move forward with their lives that they have never forgotten their first and only love.

Audio Review:
Just Because of You is a second chance romance swirled around a single dad.. I fell in love with Christian's daughter. Not a overly angsty love story, more of finding a way back to an old high school love. A sweet story with morsels of passion sprinkled throughout. With a syrupy epilogue to bring a hea.

Narrators Lacy Laurel, Matthew Cohn are well artistic narrators and have a creative style. You get transplanted into the world of Christian and Amari. A entertaining dual narration listen.

Overall a cheerful listen

I loved this one. This characters are great and the story just sucked me right in. Christian and

Amari had a thing in high school. Christian pretty much broke her heart. She left for college and didn't come back. Now she's back in town for a new job and Christian is still in town. It's a small town so their paths cross. Christian is a sweet guy and did what he thought was right at the time. I really loved Amari too. I was a little frustrated with her at parts but total understand her. This one was a good read that you should check out.

Gianna Gabriela is a new to me author, and after experiencing Just Because of You, I'm ready for more by her! Christian Cole made a decision when "forced" to let his High School girlfriend, Amari, go even though he loved her deeply. Let me pause there, see, I didn't feel sorry for him much since he didn't even try to make things right after the fact, because there's always different choices to be had. Moving on. Amari's life went on, but she never got over Christian, so when she came back home after 6 years, things got interesting. See, when she learned the why of her heart being broken in such a cruel way, she's even more hurt, and at this point, I'm pretty pissed at him. She wants nothing to do with him, which I absolutely agreed with, and at times, actually wished she had kept that up. Yeah, things are explained, but I'm just still enraged because of his utter stupidity. And, for him to chase her so hard?! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! He should have just been trying to make amends, not trying so hard to get a second chance with her. Despite all the rage, I still couldn't stop reading, which was worth 4 stars. Christian's very questionable decisions were the star less to be honest. That being said, please read it for yourselves, since I'm in the minority, because it's almost a certainty that you'll see it differently to be honest. Anyway, I will be reading more by this addictive author, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

In high school, Christian Cole broke the heart of Amari Santana, his one and only true love at that time. Six years later they have an unexpected encounter when Christian's six year old daughter, Ari is sent to the principal's office. The newly hired principal of the elementary is Amari! When Ari's father shows up, Amari is shocked to discover it's her heart-breaker, Christian. Amari quickly does the math and comes to the wrong conclusion though Christian assures her he never cheated on her. Of course, (and understandably so) she's too in her emotions to listen to him.

Christian slowly tries to integrate himself back into her life and he's given an opportunity when her car breaks down. Amari continues to keep him at arm's length but Christian is determined to win her back and Amari is just as determined to leave the past, right where it belongs!

I thought the age factor worked against this story in terms of their jobs. Both Christian and Amari are hired for jobs that they are way too young for and these hirings weren't believable to me. 10 years or even 15 years after high school--yes--but, not six years--making them 24 or 25 years old. Christian working as the football coach for the local high school was dropped from the story line. So, we never find out how he fared as a new coach nor whether they won any games or not.

This author has a nice writing style, so I'll continue to read her books.

Amari thought she had met the love of her life in high school. He was the bad boy and she was the good girl but he loved her. Well until he broke her heart in front of everyone in the scho hall and wanted nothing to do with her. Now six years later she is on her way back to he home town as the new elementary school principal and hoping that Christian Cole has left Town too

Christian fell I love with Amari Santana and knew she was it for him. But then life threw him a curveball and he knew he wasn't good enough for her. So he broke it off in a way that he forced her to move on with her life and follow her dreams. Now six years later she is back in town and the principal of his daughter school and he Wil do anything to win her back. If only he can get her to forgive him😊

This book wasn't anything Wow for me. I felt like Amari was just to emotional for me crying all the time🙄 I understand he hurt you really bad but now there was a chance to get all the answers you wanted and maybe the closure. Well if you would give him a chance. An okay read. I enjoyed the scenes with little Ari more😁💖

Walking away from high school girlfriend, Amari, was the hardest decision Christian ever had to make. Leaving both of them brokenhearted, they try to continue on with their lives but never forgetting the love that was lost. When Amari returns to their hometown they reconnect but it leaves her with more questions than answers. Can they rekindle the love that has haunted them both for years? Or is it too hard to be together because of the hurt that Christian caused. Beautifully written and a storyline I could not put down this was a great read. Once again Gianna Gabriela doe snot disappoint.

This book touches your heart and makes you let out a long contented sigh. Amari left her home town six years ago and never looked back. Christian, her high school sweetheart, had abruptly dumped her without warning in a very public, cruel way. Now, as the new principal of her childhood elementary school, she is making her way back to her childhood home. When she discovers that one of her six year old charges is Christian's daughter, Ari, Amari works back the timeline and assumes that Christian must have cheated on her and refuses to have anything to do with him outside of him being a parent. Christian has other ideas! Delightful story, and Ari is just a wonderfully precocious little girl, who is wise beyond her years. Loved this story.

Not thrilled with Christian.

They were high school sweethearts and then it didn’t end well. He moved on. I hated that he did and had a kid!
So did not like him. At all.

Amari deserved way better and he had a hell of a lot more groveling to do (he did none).

Just because of you è un romanzo intenso in cui l’amore è il protagonista assoluto.

Ecco cos’ero. Eppure, in quegli stessi corridoi, ho imparato a voler bene a una sola persona. Lei. E ho anche dovuto dirle addio. Qui.

Six years ago Christian broke Amaris heart. Now they are both back in their hometown Christian is the new highschool football coach and Amari is the new principal for the elementary school. When Christian broke up with Amari he did it for what he thought were good reasons. His life was changing in ways he did not want her to be stuck with. Now after all these years their lives have intertwined in ways they did not see happening. These two run into each other again after Ari, Christians six year old daughter gets sent to the principals office. To say Amari is shocked to see Christian is a dad to a six year old she comes to the conclusion of why he left her all those years ago. Chrsitian immediately knows he needs to do whatever it takes to get Amari to listen to him and try to win her back but she does not make it easy on him. When the truth finally gets revealed Amari is not sure what to do. These two have alot of things to work through and they to forgive before they can try to achieve their hea. This book was a fabulous read that really pulls on your heart. Sometimes you have to love and lose in order to come back together again stronger than you were before and these two definitely belong with one another. I loved all the characters and the story. I can not wait to read what this author writes next!

This beautifully written love story by Gianna Gabriela was exactly the book I needed to read right now!!!! It hit all my emotions all at and left me in tears when it was done.... all happy tears!!!! A second chance romance, Just Because Of You, gives you a journey of two hearts that was always meant to be together finding their way back to one another. Amari was the girl who got away, not because she chose to leave but because she believed she wasn’t wanted anymore. She lives with that hurt and anger for 6 years. Christian broke the love of his lives heart and his own because he believes it the right thing to do and he had to live with that sadness for years. When fate brings them together again the circumstances of their being apart is revealed and the fight to believe in their love begins. I was completely mesmerized with these two characters and their story. The reason for their parting is the best part of the story for me and I don’t want to give it away but know it is quite amazing. I recommend this story to anyone who wants a heartwarming, feel good HEA that will leave you in tears of joy!!!

This story is about a choice made by Christian that changed his future with Amari. He made the decision for both of them. In his mind he thought he was doing the best for Amari. They had planned to go to college together. He knew if he told her the truth she would stay behind. All because of one wild night before Amari , his future changed forever.
Amari went away for college. She vowed never to return to the small town. After getting a job offer at the grade school back home, she contemplated how will she react running into Christian again. Is he still there? Did he move on? Does he still love her?
Gianna Gabriels story of second chance romance is about, finding strength to go on with life after a devastating breakup. Being honest, having secrets, anger, heartbreak, devastation, and rebuilding trust, love and forgiveness!
Lacy Laurel and Matthew Cohn narration is wonderful. Their emotions of love lost, uncertainty, devastation, and all the anguish/despair were felt within Christian's and Amari's thoughts and words. I thoroughly enjoy enjoyed listening to this story.

****** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ******

Just Because of You was such a sweet and heartwarming second-chance story. I have a slight thing for single dad stories and with daddy's like Christian, it's easy to see why single parents is a trope all in itself. Amari and Christian have never gotten over each other even after 6 years of distance. Now the distance is gone and they have unfinished business and unfinished feelings.

Gianna Gabriela gives us a clean story that won't scar little ears if they overhear. I do wish we could have had a bit more of a background on Ari's mom and the situation that led to their breakup but the jist of it is laid out. This is a story that thrives on love and what it's like to care about another person's dreams and needs before your own.

Lacy Laurel has a fabulous voice for high emotion stories. Amari was a wounded and hurt character and Laurel really portrayed those feelings. Matthew Cohn played Christian very well. I really liked how his voice seemed to light up whenever he spoke to his daughter. He seemed to sound like a real man, if that makes sense. His voice has a comforting feeling to it.

So this is the type of second chance romances I love to read. You have a single dad with a feisty, adorable and not afraid to speak her mind daughter who just landed his dream job. Things are falling into place for Christian but there's someone he hasn't forgotten about. Six years ago, Christian and Amari were in love. Things were going great until it wasn't. He had good reasons for what he did, he just didn't tell Amari though..Typical male I swear. Anyway fate has a way of working and bringing together those who need brought together. Him and Amari still have the love and fire in them after all these years. There's just one problem though, Amari is hard headed and stubborn. She's not willing to just fall at Christian's feet just yet. She makes him work for it. The icing on the cake is his daughter. She knows exactly what's going on and plans out how to get them together once and forever. This was such a cute book with characters you will instantly fall in love with or at least I did!!

Christian was in a job that he hated and when he found out his old coach was retiring and was offered his job, he didn’t hesitate, the last six years he hasn’t done anything he loved and now he could, he wouldn’t change them for anything even her.
Amalia was devastated when Christian ended things with her, so much she left but now she’s back, due to a job offer. She thought she was over the hurt but returning to her home brought back everything she tried to forget.
Christian returns to the place where he broke the heart of the person he loved, while everyone watched, knowing he broke her.
