About this event

At age 5, Norman Malone (SOM '68, '73) was a budding piano virtuoso. At age 10, after a devastating attack, he became partially paralyzed on the right side. Refusing to give up his passion, he found a teacher at DePaul University's School of Music and learned to play some of most complex piano music ever composed using only his left hand. Yet, the beloved choral instructor at Lincoln Park High School kept his talent hidden for decades. Hear Malone play before the panel discussion and stay to watch the acclaimed documentary by Kartemquin Films.

Presented by the Lincoln Park Community Research Initiative.
