info_outline

What is ARISTA?

ARISTA is Stuyvesant High School’s Honor Society. Founded upon four pillars, scholarship, leadership, character, and service, ARISTA is Stuyvesant’s largest resource for academic support, as we provide peer tutoring to over 500 students in almost every subject. Members complete a tutoring and community service requirement by peer tutoring, assisting teachers at AIS sessions, and volunteering in-school and for NYC charities. Senior members in good standing are recognized with a gold stole at graduation.

Why join?

Join ARISTA if you are interested in bettering your community: at home, at Stuyvesant, and at-large in NYC. ARISTA is considered an impressive activity for college applications but more importantly provides a greater opportunity for members to engage with a leadership role outside of their usual role as students. ARISTA prompts you to step into the shoes of a role model, and to contribute to your surroundings through a selfless lens.
