2023-2024 APSF Classroom Funding

PROGRAM DEADLINE: October 31, 2023 at 11:59 PM PDT (Midnight) - CLOSED

This program is inactive or past the deadline.

Description

The APSF is the only nonprofit solely dedicated to supporting students and staff in the Auburn School District. This year we have one funding cycle, with two grant opportunities available. This application is for a maximum of $1,000. We invite you to apply for this classroom based grant to support students around STEM, literacy, the arts, nutrition, or out of the classroom learning opportunities. Please note, the APSF will be prioritizing grants that align with one (or more) of the 7 Principles of Culturally Responsive Teaching.

Before you apply:
1. Do you have Principal approval for this grant (if selected)?
2. Have you checked to see if there are other resources that are able to fund this project? (Building/department dollars, tech budget, AEA, etc)
3. Is this something the APSF has funded before? While this does not eliminate your application from consideration, please note that the APSF prioritizes new grants and funding opportunities.

Things we do not fund:
1. T-shirts or individual items for trips/classrooms/etc
2. Anything that does not adhere to ASD guidelines (technology that doesn't work with our systems, unapproved curriculum, etc)
3. Things that are covered by district dollars - the APSF does not exist to replace things that the district will fund.
4. Classroom snacks - please reach out to your health tech if there is a student in need of a snack in your classroom (the APSF funds an account at each school to provide basic needs support for students)
5. Outside organizations - only ASD staff members can apply for funding from the APSF

Requirements

Any ASD staff member is welcome to apply for funding from the APSF and they are always looking for additional ways to support ASD classrooms. Please contact APSF Executive Director Natasha Daily at ndaily@auburn.wednet.edu with any questions or visit the APSF website at www.auburnpsf.org.
