PNC Capital Markets has many early career opportunities encompassing various functions at the bank. These functions include: PNC balance sheet management, capital raising, investment banking, risk management, liquidity management, and many more.

This event will allow you to learn about the following divisions included in our Capital Markets early career opportunities:

-          Asset & Liability Management:

o   Corporate Treasury: Top-of-the-house team overseeing the funding of PNC’s $550+ billion balance sheet.

o   Chief Investment Office: Oversees the daily strategies and objectives around managing $130+ billion of fixed income securities and $45 billion notional of interest rate swaps/derivatives.

 

-          Capital Markets Group:

o    COO / Strategy: Collaborates with Capital Markets business partners to elicit, prioritize, and drive strategic product and technology investments.

o   Derivatives: Identifies, quantifies, and formulates customized hedging solutions for PNC customers and prospects to effectively hedge interest rate and energy commodity pricing risk.

o   Foreign Exchange: Provides solutions around foreign exchange products such as spot, forward, and option strategies to help corporations manage risk globally.

o   Fixed Income: Underwrites, trades, and makes markets in a variety of taxable and tax-exempt financial products to corporations, governmental entities, financial institutions, and investment advisory firms.

o   Financial Institutions Group

§  Banks Division: Manages relationships with community, regional, and global banks to better manage assets, risks, and operations.

§  Financial Services Division: Manages relationships with insurance companies, asset managers, private equity firms, fintech firms and other financial focused firms. 

o   Structured Products Group: Conducts trading and sales of fixed income securities in residential and commercial mortgage backed securities (MBS) as well as agencies and corporate bonds.

 

-          Investment Banking:

o   Asset Backed Finance: Provides securitization financing secured by client assets that generate predictable cash flow streams. 

o   Debt Capital Markets: Comprises both Loan Syndications and Fixed Income divisions and is responsible for earning transaction mandates from Large Middle Market and Corporate Finance clients within PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Bank (C&IB).

o   Public Finance Capital Markets: Responsible for the origination of tax-exempt and taxable bond issues for governmental and non-profit clients to fund capital for new money projects and for debt refinancing purposes.

  • 3.2 Minimum GPA
  • 2024 Graduates (Development Program) / 2025 Graduates (Internship)
  • All degree programs considered / business relevant majors preferred
