Welcome to the 2021 ACC On Demand!

Hello ACC Friends,

At long last we are coming out of our Pandemic Hidey Holes! It was so difficult to postpone our meeting two years in a row, but the ACC Board felt we couldn’t justify the continuing risk of the virus, or the expense, with so many people not being able to join us for an in-person meeting. Fortunately, the virus appears to be on the run now that so many of us are being vaccinated! We can now look forward to a blow-out in-person meeting next May in Hilton Head, SC.

We are thrilled that our abstracts for the 2020, then 2021, meeting are now published in Cancer Genetics, and our authors get credit for them, especially our students and fellows. To that end, we have opened this platform for our authors to present their work. What is especially lovely about this platform is we are now able to offer P.A.C.E. credits to our viewers who watch the presentations. We hope that many of you will participate. I, for one, need some CEU’s since I have not left rural South Carolina, for that matter Greenwood, in over a year and have not been involved in any virtual meetings until ABMG this year.

I want to especially thank Bob Best and Ross Rowsey and the Program committee for all of their hard work. We didn’t know what we were going to be doing with this meeting when the pandemic hit and we have looked at a number of iterations to finally land here!
