TEMPLIN SCHOLARSHIP FUND

When local resident Roger Templin died in 1976 at the age of 103, he remembered Alton Memorial Hospital in his will by leaving $1 million designated to nursing education. Over the years, thousands of nurses and nursing students have benefitted from his generosity.

VERA BOCK DIABETES FUND

The Vera Bock Diabetes Fund supports patients living with diabetes who are receiving treatment at AMH. Financial assistance may be requested for medications and supplies and payment will be issued directly to the Home Care Pharmacy. Patients may be granted funding one time in a 12- month period.

EXTRA MILE FUND

The Extra Mile Fund supports cancer patients (excluding breast cancer patients) who are receiving treatment at AMH. Financial assistance up to $800 may be requested for expenses such as: rent or mortgage payments, utilities, insurance or medical bills, auto loans or insurance, home or car repairs. Patient may be granted funding once in a 12-month period.

YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND

You’ve Got a Friend supports breast cancer patients receiving treatment at AMH. Financial assistance up to $800 may be requested for expenses such as: rent or mortgage payments, utilities, insurance or medical bills, auto loans or insurance, home or car repairs. Patient may be granted funding once in a 12-month period.

MARY ALICE McCARTHY FUND

Mary Alice McCarthy Fund supports young patients receiving occupational, speech or physical therapy at AMH. Financial assistance can be provided to patients who need to continue to receive therapy but are not covered by insurance.

ANCILLARY SERVICES EDUCATION FUND

This Ancillary Services Education Fund covers the costs for Alton Memorial Hospital staff who work in non-nursing positions to take continuing education classes, attend workshops and/or seminars, and obtain educational materials. Employees may be awarded up to $500 a year. This opportunity was made possible by the generosity of Dave and Dawn Freeman.
