Who Should Attend?
Anyone with an interest in medicine, research, and a career as a physician scientist. The conference welcomes all trainees in MD/PhD, DO/PhD, MD, DO, health sciences graduate programs, as well as undergraduate students interested in learning more about careers in translational research. Higher level trainees like residents, fellows, and post-docs are also encouraged to attend along with faculty from various departments actively pursuing careers in biomedical research.
Registration Information
Registration will open in July to all interested participants at all institutions regardless of APSA membership. Click HERE to register. Registration for the conference is FREE for all attendees and closes on October 9th. If you decide to cancel your registration, please email Stella Hoft (stella.hoft@health.slu.edu) at least 10 days prior to the conference.
Abstracts and Poster Sessions
Abstract submissions will be open May 23 - *extended until August 14.
All participants are encouraged to submit abstracts for the conference poster sessions. Posters will be automatically entered into a judging competition with cash prizes for winners. Posters will be arranged into several categories based off judges’ expertise:
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Pathology
Molecular Microbiology and Immunology
Pharmacology and Physiology
Clinical Research
Humanities
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top presenters, but awardees must be present at the end of day to receive the award in person.
Abstract and Poster Guidelines
Abstract Word Length: 300 words maximum
To submit an abstract check out the Submissions tab.
Please try to keep your poster around 30'' X 40'' in size.
