Ending malnutrition in all its forms by 2030 requires that the world prioritize nutrition in food systems, health systems, and the needs of the most vulnerable.

Governments, business, multilateral organizations, donors and other development partners are encouraged to make financial, policy, programmatic, or impact commitments covering one or more of the three focus areas identified by the government of Japan as critical to achieving the global targets and ending malnutrition in all its forms:

To facilitate the commitment registration process for the Year of Action, the Global Nutrition Report has developed the Nutrition Accountability Framework, which includes a commitment registration platform and resources, which have been endorsed by the government of Japan and are in alignment with the N4G Commitment-Making Guide, the N4G Vision and Roadmap and the GNR N4G Commitment Tracker

The Nutrition Accountability Framework (NAF) creates the world’s first independent and comprehensive platform for registering SMART nutrition commitments and monitoring nutrition action. It helps inform, shape and inspire strong commitments for nutrition through comprehensive methods for qualifying, classifying and reporting on nutrition action, and monitoring how action translates to impact. This is facilitated through the NAF enabling transparent and accessible sharing of data, evidence and best practice.

You may now register your commitments on the Nutrition Accountability Framework platform. After submitting your commitment, you will be given the opportunity to revise or refine it with support from a member of the Independent Expert Group. No commitments will be made public at this stage and we will alert you before they are made publicly available.
