Students will be spaced 6 feet apart as they walk to class
Once in class they will receive a squirt of hand sanitizer and go directly to their desk - desks are spaced 6 feet apart
Each student will have a cardboard box next to their desk for them to put their coat and backpack (or they can hang them on their chair if they prefer)
The bell will ring at 8:00am signaling it’s time for learning to begin - students that arrive after 8:00am will have to check in at the school office before going to class
School supplies will be provided for all students
Student Arrival
Car Drop Off
Cars will no longer drop off in the left lane
All cars and buses will drop off ONLY in the right lane
Our goal will be to get cars in and out of the car drop off lane as quickly as possible since both cars and buses will be using the same lane to drop off students.
Please help your child put on their mask before you leave the house so that it’s already on when they exit the car.
If you need to assist your child in any way with getting out of the car, please do not use the car drop off lane - instead we ask that you pull into a parking space in the lower parking lot and walk your child over to the flag pole and say goodbye.
If the car drop off line is too long, feel free to park and walk your student to the flagpole.
Student Dismissal
Students will be dismissed at 10:15am
Students that ride a bus will go directly to the bus
Parents that walk to the school will wait next to the big tree that is just behind the flagpole with the benches underneath (between the school and playground) - students will wait in lines in front of the bike racks by grade level - spaced 6 feet apart
Parents that drive to school to pick up their student will get in the left lane and drive around to the back entrance of the gym (just like on picture day) - students will wait in lines inside the gym by grade level - spaced 6 feet apart
Classroom Routines
Students receive a squirt of hand sanitizer as they enter their classroom
With every transition, students will use the hand sanitizer (for example, when they return from the bathroom or from a movement break outside)
Water fountains are closed but students are allowed to have a water bottle on their desk to drink water as needed
Your student’s teacher will let you know if students will need to bring their device (iPad or Chromebook) to school each day - and then take it back home to use in the afternoon
