About Step Up To Turn Cancer Off

One of the best ways to reduce your risk of developing cancer is to have an active, healthy lifestyle.

For one week (June 17-23, 2024), the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation is challenging you to increase your daily activities and raise crucial funds for cancer research at the same time.

You can choose to set your own activity goals and/or participate in our first ever, in-person endurance event (more details soon).

No matter how you get involved, every step you make will bring us one step closer to a cure.

Why Step Up?

Despite the many advancements in the fight against cancer, it remains a leading cause of death in the U.S. and around the world. In fact, it is estimated that more than 10 million people will die from cancer this year.  Additionally, cancer rates are rising.

Funding research is the only way to develop new treatments, preventions, and improve methods for early detection.

Since 1976, SWCRF has played a key role in funding breakthrough science. For more than 45 years, we have invested more than $120 million for collaborative, research programs, supporting more than 200 scientists worldwide.

Currently, SWCRF is investing in the work of nearly 50 investigators, in the U.S., Canada, Israel, and China.

By signing up today, you will help SWCRF increase our funding for life-saving research and expand this network of renown scientists.
