The 2024 HAF+WRCF Universal Application period is open!
The HAF+WRCF Universal Application (UA) opens the door for students to access over 180 unique scholarships by completing a single application. A full list of scholarships available in the 2024 UA can be viewed here.
The 2024 Universal Application will close at 11:59 PM, March 4, 2024.

The 'Aa-wok Georgiana Trull Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the work and life of Aawok Georgiana Trull. Aawok Georgiana spent more than 40 years of her life dedicated to revitalization of the Yurok language, contributing to an alphabet and publishing a conversation dictionary.
Criteria: California Native, active involvement in Indigenous language revitalization. Federally and non-federally recognized CA Indigenous people are eligible to apply. Recipients must be attending and actively enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college/university, a graduate program, or trade/vocational school.
Scholarship Amount: $2,500 or more
The Jack Montoya Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to support Native people who are California residents and show genuine support of and actively promote cultural revitalization.
Criteria: Native American/Alaska Native descendancy, demonstrated focus of Native Culture with genuine involvements in cultural revitalization.
Federally and non-federally recognized CA Indigenous people are eligible to apply. Open to students who will be actively enrolled in and attending 4-year universities or graduate school programs.
Scholarship Amount: $2,500 for undergraduate level; $5,000 or more for graduate level
Criteria: Current college students planning to apply to medical school. Must be an active or former member of an undergraduate premedical society and must have personal motivations for providing care for rural populations and intentions to practice in Humboldt/Del Norte County.

Quota Club is offering a $1,000 scholarship to an individual who is advancing their education to a college, vocational school, or a trade school. The individual must demonstrate exceptional involvement and outstanding leadership around community service and learning through volunteerism.
Applicants must submit their applications no later than May 20, 2024.

Eligibility: All applicants should be a high school senior expecting to graduate and attend an accredited Trade School or accredited institute of further education, studying for an Associates Degree or higher. Applicant must reside in Humboldt, Trinity, or Del Norte County. 5 scholarships of $1,000 are available.

Forestry, operations, environmental science, truck driving, heavy duty equipment operators and mechanics, GIS, accounting, land surveying are among the fields that are considered under these programs.

The Community Foundation of the North State manages many scholarship funds that are awarded to graduating high school seniors as well as students already in an undergraduate program. These scholarships support students in Humboldt and Trinity County. The main application deadline is March 13th, 2024.

The following scholarships are offered for Fortuna High School seniors.
Fuente Nueva Charter School and Amigos de Fuente Nueva are sponsoring a scholarship for local High School seniors who have graduated from Fuente Nueva. This scholarship is given to further promote the belief that bilingualism is important and provides the recipient with $500.00 to use for future endeavors beyond high school. Qualified seniors are invited to apply!
The scholarship opens on March 25 with a deadline of May 6. Notifications will be sent at the end of May. The scholarship recipient will be asked to present at the 5th grade graduation with a three minute speech on why bilingualism is important to them.
