LSUA Health Education Campus
LSUA has proposed the construction of an advanced instructional technology center in downtown Alexandria, LA to address the growing demand for skilled healthcare workers. The new facility will provide students with modern technology and training facilities, giving them a comprehensive and integrated education across multiple disciplines. Central Louisiana needs to provide training at a level that meets or exceeds institutional standards across major Louisiana cities.
LSUA plans to double its annual nursing graduates to 140-160 by enhancing programs and leveraging a state-of-the-art facility. The Health Education Campus will equip students with cutting-edge technology and interdisciplinary learning, addressing the increasing need for proficient healthcare workers and bolstering community support.
The Health Education Campus will be located near regional hospitals and other healthcare providers, which will benefit both clinical students and hospital employees enrolled at LSUA. The facility's proximity will allow for a significant increase in the number of students across all health education programs, as seen in similar models across the nation.
