PTO Supported Positions & Volunteer Opportunities

All volunteers must complete a background check in order to volunteer at school, which can take 2-3 weeks to be completed.  You will then be contacted by Better Impact Administrator Kimberly Hawk and receive updates of opportunities and events.

If you have been a volunteer for BSD and are a new parent at Five Oaks, you’ll need to message Johanna Shrout at update_volunteer_locations@beaverton.

k12.or.us and request to be added to Five Oaks to view opportunities in Better Impact.

  • Clothes For Kids April 16th-18th

  • Staff Appreciation Set Up/Clean Up May 6th, 8th & 10th

  • Organizing Food Pantry & Clothing Closet

  • Organizing the Lost & Found

  • Band Room Assistance - coordinate with Mr. McNeil

  • Gardening with Mr. Morrison’s eighth grade classes

  • Library Assistance - go in at your convenience

  • Staff Appreciation Chairperson - coordinate events

  • Staff Appreciation Committee - work with PTO leadership on events

  • Fundraising Committee - coordinate with PTO leadership

  • AVID Tutors
