About the Writing Center

Writing Center staff assist with writing assignments for all courses. Help is available for assignments at any stage in the writing process from prewriting to final drafts. Drop by any time whether it’s for a quick question or a full draft review.

Tutoring Services

Tutoring services will be closed between semesters from May 8th to June 3rd.

Virtual Tutoring Room

  • Virtual Tutoring is always a drop–in service; no appointment necessary
  • Chrome or Firefox is the preferred browser

In-Person Tutoring

  • Drop-in anytime. Appointments are not required.
  • You can also schedule an appointment with a Writing Center tutor. For an appointment, email writingcenter@cccti.edu or call 828.726.2376. Please email at least one day in advance. Appointments are limited to one hour.
  • One-on-one tutoring is offered on both campuses

Grab-n-Go Sessions

Grab-n-Go sessions are available on Wednesday in the LRC on the Caldwell Campus and on Thursday in the Student Commons on the Watauga Campus. Students can drop-in anytime for 15 minute, interactive lessons.
