About Us

Welcome to our school! We believe that parent participation is key to student success; our new website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student’s education. You will find that the site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on a desktop so you can find information on the go.
Students showing school Spirit

Our Mission

Myra S. Barnes Intermediate School 24 is dedicated to the belief that all students can meet high standards of excellence.

The school will provide a positive and supportive environment for all students, staff and parents. This will emphasize the school and commitment in ensuring the children's cognitive, creative, and social growth.

All our students will develop academic and social skills and responsibilities which will enable them to become productive and law-abiding citizens of the community. "All students" refers to both special and general education students.

Our Vision

Our school aims to prepare students to excel academically and socially as they prepare to enter ninth grade. I.S. 24 strives to provide a safe and caring environment rooted in teamwork, community and school spirit to allow our students to achieve their goals.
