Folly Quarter Middle School has a thriving multi-faceted Gifted & Talented program specifically designed for all middle school students. We offer Gifted & Talented level content courses in the area of Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Studies. There are also Curriculum Extension Units to extend the content for advanced-level learners and Instructional Seminars to develop advanced-level skills through interest based learning. Opportunities for authentic research are available throughout the program. In addition, the 6th grade G/T Research Course and Independent Research Investigations are available to support the development of research skills.
Instructional Seminars are open to all students and range from the humanities to STEM related fields. Offerings are designed to provide an opportunity for students to explore a variety of topics and fields. Through these seminars, students utilize information learned in content area courses and develop independent responsibility, creativity, and self expression through performance based tasks.
