Spring 2024 CWC Energy Coach Training Registration
Do you want to connect with your community and planet in a hands-on way? THIS is the perfect way to do it. The CWC is looking for new members to join our Energy Coach family! When you take our 3-part, 12-hour volunteer training, you'll learn from our training team of energy experts, how to:

* Perform home energy tune-ups for local residents; inspect homes and identify ways to improve energy and water efficiency and save money (with a focus on helping our low-income neighbors)
* Understand and analyze utility bills
* Install water-saving shower heads, faucet aerators, pipe insulation, LED bulbs, and more

Join us for our three-day* workshop:
Wednesday, April 10th.......5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Wednesday, April 17th.......5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Saturday, April 20th…........9:00 am - 3:00 pm
[*Note: attending all three dates is required to graduate as a CWC Energy Coach]

Volunteering with the CWC is flexible, but our program is most sustainable when our trainees can commit to performing at least six home energy tune-ups for local families after the training ends. Tune-ups last between 2-4 hours and are held throughout the week, always during daylight hours.

Are you a fluent Spanish speaker? *
Note: This is not required to participate in the volunteer training! Spanish speakers will receive vocabulary study materials to learn technical weatherization terms in Spanish, and will have the opportunity to do tune-ups for our neighbors who would be best served in Spanish.

Wellness Policy: the CWC's wellness policy currently states that volunteers agree to help only when they are symptom-free and have not been knowingly exposed to COVID-19 in the last 10 days. Additionally, our volunteers agree to wear a mask during tune-ups if it is the resident's preference. Do you understand that you will need to agree to our wellness policies in order to perform volunteer activities for the Community Weatherization Coalition?

The CWC recommends - but does not require - vaccination for volunteers in accordance with CDC guidelines: https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2022/p0811-covid-guidance.html
We ask for a $50 fee (sliding scale) to help off-set the cost of this training. This includes printing costs, a full meal at each session, a criminal background check, a CWC t-shirt, and ID badge. Is this possible for you? *
If paying online in advance, please go to https://communityweatherization.org/donate/ and fill out the donation form. Check "Write us a comment" at the bottom of the first page and say "Spring24 training fee."
Do you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions? *
Do you have any other health concerns or disabilities that the CWC should be aware of during this training? *
