In one area of Elkhorn in west Omaha, dozens of newly built, large homes were damaged. At least six were wrecked, including one that was leveled, while others had their top halves ripped off.

More severe storms are possible for parts of the state Saturday. 

The Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office estimated between 40 to 50 homes in Minden, about 30 miles northeast of downtown Omaha, were destroyed.
