What are you doing today?
I’m having my dress for the CMAs—that’s the Country Music Awards—fitted at Roberto Cavalli. The dress is so fabulous I can’t even explain it. It’s black, and it’s got this spiderweb effect on it, and it’s the only one in the country right now. There’s also this fabulous alligator jacket that I’ll wear with it for a rock-star kind of effect. And I’m going to wear these boots. They’re Jimmy Choos.

Are you a country-music singer?
I am! My single is coming out January 30, and the album will come out in the spring. So the whole dream is coming true. I don’t know what I’m going to call the album, but it will definitely say Laura Bryna on there. Big.

Tell me about your style.
Funky chic, but with class. Funky fun, but with aspects of being a lady in there. I kind of like to push the edge.

What differentiates country style from the look of Hollywood or pop music?
I think there’s a whole perception that country women don’t dress as feminine or as fashionable. But I think this is changing. I know that a lot of popular culture is trying to go back to the forties, and we’re into that! People always think we’re in the sticks, but we’re ladies. We’re classy ladies, and we express ourselves.
