I made several cards with this fun release and I'll be sharing each one over the next couple of weeks.  Here's the first one which showcases the Sweet Songs stamp and dies.

Honey Bee Stamps supplies used are listed & linked below:

The Sweet Songs set includes the large music sheet image plus lots of floral clusters and cute little birds. There's also many sentiment options that relate to all different kinds of celebrations.... birthday, wedding, and bridal or baby showers.

The floral and birdie images are so whimsical and remind me of storybook illustrations.  I wanted a soft, fairy tale look to this card so I stamped the images with Lawn Fawn River Rock ink. This is a Copic friendly ink.  The images are very easy to color. Here are the Copic colors I used: R83, R85, R00, R20, BG10, BG11, BG13, YG61, YG63

There's really no right or wrong way to arrange the florals and birds around the music sheet images.  I just fiddled around with it until I had a pleasing balance. I love how it fills an A2 size card nicely.  I adhered all the images with thin foam dots onto the faux handmade paper from the Textiles & Textures Celebrate paper pad.  I used the Quilted A2 Cover Plate to add the stitched detail. I trimmed this panel and angled the corners with a paper punch before adhering to an A2 card base.

Sunny Studio Big Bunny Card

Hi there! I'm sharing a spring card showcasing the adorable Big Bunny from Sunny Studio. This bunny image is such a fun size at a little over 3.5" tall. She nicely fills my A2 size card.

There's many accessories included in the Big Bunny set however I felt like my bunny needed a carrot. I found the perfect one for her in the Bunnyville stamp set. I've Copic colored the bunny, bow, and carrot with the following: E40, E41, E42, R00, R20, R30, R32, R35, YR12, YR14, YR18, YG11, YG18

To assemble the card, I used an A2 panel of simple patterned paper for the background. I then added a die cut Rectangle Fancy Frame with foam adhesive strips. Next I added the bunny by tucking the bottom under the frame edge. The coordinating Big Bunny die cuts around the arms so I was able to tuck in the carrot easily. I added the sentiment next. The Spring Greetings sentiment stamps are included in the Big Bunny set.

To embellish the card I added some die cut daisies and tiny flower sequins. I made the daisy flowers with the Basic Mini Shape 4 dies. The little leaves are from the Basic Mini Shape 2 die set.  That finishes off my Spring Big Bunny card. I'll see you next Monday!

Sunny Studio Little Birdie Birthday Card

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing an easy and fun to make birthday card. I've created an outdoor scene featuring two sweet birdies and their neighboring houses hanging from a tree branch.

Now of course my branch and birdhouse scene first needed a pretty sky background. I used the Fluffy Cloud Border dies to cut out masks for creating some soft billowy clouds with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink.

Next I used the Tree Branch and Build-a-Birdhouse die sets for the branches, birdhouses, and little birds. I die cut all the pieces from white card stock. I used small blending brushes and the following Distress Oxide inks to color: Blueprint Sketch, Tattered Rose, Rustic Wilderness, Crushed Olive, Kitsch Flamingo, Wild Honey, and Walnut Stain. I added all the die cut elements onto the background with thin foam adhesive so they all would be popped up a bit.

For the birthday sentiment I used stamps from the Little Birdie stamp set. There's separate words and short phrase stamps in this set. That made it easy to customize a birthday greeting and integrate it into the scene in three places.  Lastly, I trimmed the completed scene panel down to be slightly smaller than A2 size and adhered it to a pale yellow card base.

Pretty Pink Posh Layered Butterfly Cards

Hello everyone! I have a duo of butterfly cards to share I made using a bunch of new products from Pretty Pink Posh. Both my cards feature a stenciled background and die cut layered butterflies.

I created the backgrounds for my cards with the new Layered Butterfly Floral Stencil Set. Trust me when I say this stencil set is very addictive. I could not stop playing with it! I kept wanting to try out different color palettes.  I'm sharing a couple favorites from my stenciling session.

I have trimmed my stenciled panels down so they fit onto an A2 size card base.  The length of these panels is 4 7/8" inches.  I wanted them to be a bit shorter than A2 length so I could add a strip of card stock at the bottom.  I thought this would help draw attention to the sentiment.  The sentiments I used come from two new stamp sets... Decorative Blutterflies and Sentiment Strips: Easter.  I used a die from the Sentiment Strips dies to create the stitched scalloped pieces I've adhered my sentiments to.

For each card I have added two layered butterflies.  There's many sizes to pick from in the new Stitched Butterflies die set. I chose four different ones.  I die cut the back layer from vellum. The top layers are die cut from card stock to match my stenciled color palettes.  I lightly inked the bottom edge of each card stock butterfly just to add some subtle shading.  I adhered the layers together with thin foam tape.  This gives a nice little bit of separation from the two layers and adds some dimension.

To finish off these cards, I added a scattering of Sparkling Clear Sequins. These are my go to embellishments when I want to add a little bling but not distract from the main elements on the card.

This card design is quick, easy, and definitely fun to make. It would be perfect for mass producing to make gift sets of notecards.  The butterfly theme can go for many occasions just by switching up the colors and sentiments.  I have a feeling I'll be reaching for these new butterfly dies and stencils often this spring and summer.

Sunny Studio Puddle Jumpers Rainbow Card

Hello everyone! I have a fun card to share today featuring the most adorable little duck images. These sweet images can be found in the Puddle Jumpers stamp set from Sunny Studio.  When I first saw this set, I kept envisioning a rainbow scene so that's what went with for this card.

There's few ways you can incorporate a rainbow into a scene.... stamping, die cuts, coloring with markers, or use a stencil which is what I chose to do.  I stenciled the rainbow right in the center of the scene.  I used the following Catherine Pooler ink colors for the rainbow bands: Be Mine, Tiki Torch, Grass Skirt, & Cummerbund.

I trimmed the scene panel down to 3.75" x 5".  I very lightly inked blended the Cummerbund ink around the top and sides edges of the panel.  Then I used the same blue ink for splatter and stamping the rain drops.

I colored the ducks and puddle images with Copic markers in these colors: W3, T1, YR12, YR18, Y00, Y32, Y35, R20, BG11, BG13. I used the coordinating Puddle Jumpers dies to cut them out. I then adhered the images with thin foam squares.  To stamp the sentiment, I used my Misti and curved the stamps to follow the bend in the rainbow. Lastly I added decorative corner die cuts.  I used one the Fancy Frames Rectangle dies to die cut a frame from aqua blue card stock.  Then I simply cut off the corners and adhered them to my scene panel.  Once my scene was complete, I adhered it to an A2 size soft yellow card base.
