MALT’s Stewardship Assistance Program (SAP) can help you identify how to most effectively manage your land. It can also help you develop and implement the necessary practices and infrastructure to make it happen.
How can MALT help me improve my range and pasture?
SAP can help you plan, design and/or pay for:
- Livestock water infrastructure to give livestock access to clean and reliable water, improve herd health, manage grazing pressure and be more resilient to drought.
- No-till seeding to improve forage quality and productivity, out-compete invasive weeds and build soil health.
- Cross fencing to manage livestock grazing rotations, optimize forage production and improve grassland health.
- Invasive species evaluations and recommendations with the help of a Pest Control Advisor (PCA) to identify invasive weed populations and make recommendations to control them.
SAP will also help you navigate the planning and permitting processes for these projects, connect you with other partner organizations and look for additional funding sources.
