About Us:
Planetary Health Club is a student-run, faculty-supported club from the School of Public Health that includes members from all of SUNY Downstate’s schools.

As a member of the global Planetary Health Alliance, we seek to integrate environmental knowledge, determinants of health, research and policy solutions to prepare our members to combat global health impacts associated with environmental degradation and climate instability.

Our goal is to improve our members’ and community’s understanding that human health depends on the flourishing, sustainability, and health of natural systems, and how they connect with Public Health globally. We also aim to increase awareness of Planetary Health, and galvanize sustainable actions and initiatives on our campus and in our communities.
