Virtual Cost of Poverty Experience       (V-COPE)

The Virtual Cost of Poverty experience (V-COPE) is a one hour experience that simulates one week in the lives of families and children living in poverty in your community. It is designed to provide a glimpse into the constant challenges, barriers, and decisions faced by families who desire to escape poverty. It also connects the impact that poverty has on a person's health. VCOPE puts a human face on the issues of poverty. VCOPE challenges participants to see one another with new eyes and recommit to serving every individual with value and dignity.  This simple principle, if practiced, will not only invigorate our personal lives but inspire us to serve better, more deeply, in our health care professions.
