  • Set the Rip Griffin Park record for strikeouts (12) in a Big 12 Series with 12 strikeouts versus Kansas State (April 8-10, 2022) accumulated in start versus Kansas State on April 9. 
  • Carried no-hitters through 5.0 innings twice in 2022. Got through 5.0 at Kansas on April 2 and through 6.0 at Rice on March 12.
  • Owned a streak of 41 batters faced without issuing a walk, beginning with start on March 19 at Iowa to April 2 start at Kansas. 
  • Logged one of two complete games recorded by a Red Raider in 2022; logged a career-high 8.0 innings pitched in the CG effort on April 23 versus West Virginia.
2021 (Sophomore*/3rd Yr., 1st at Tech): As a third-year draft eligible player, was selected in the 11th round (No. 339 overall) by the Minnesota Twins in 2021 MLB Draft but elected to return for another season with the Red Raiders … the sophomore was 4-1 in the spring with a 3.06 ERA and 36 strikeouts to only nine walks before an injury ended his season in mid-April ... made seven starts and appeared eight times for a total of 35.1 innings on the mound… will lead the returning team in batters struck out with 36 batters despite a shortened season … for pitchers that saw 35.0 innings or more, led the team with a 3.06 ERA …  went a season-long 7.0 innings against Oklahoma State (3/19) where he had nine strikeouts, also a season-high … throughout the season he allowed only 27 hits, 13 runs and had a total of 36 strikeouts.

PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH: Started career at Texas A&M in 2019 before transferring to San Jacinto Junior College for the 2020 season. (2020) At San Jacinto Junior College in Pasadena, Texas, played under coach Tom Arrington … started six games and finished with a 2.48 ERA, 45 strikeouts and allowed nine walks in 29 innings pitched before his sophomore season was cut short due to COVID … worked with San Jacinto pitching coach and 15-year MLB veteran Woody Williams on mechanics and pitching. (2019) Played his freshman year at Texas A&M in 2019 … pitched in nine games recording a 1-0 record in seven innings pitched also threw eight strikeouts and finished with a 6.43 ERA.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Willis High School in Willis, Texas under coach Brad Propst … drafted out of high school by the Houston Astros in the 39th round of the 2019 MLB Draft … named to 2018 Texas High School Baseball Association Class 5A All-State Third team and 2018 Texas Sports Writers Association Class 5A Honorable Mention … awarded All-District 20-5A First Team as a pitcher … finished his senior year with a 5-2 record with 90 strikeouts in 45 innings pitched … played under Coach Jeff Baymer at Conroe High School for his junior and sophomore season ... selected for the 2017 Texas Rangers Area Code Games roster ... named to the All-Tournament team at the World Wood Bat Association National Championship in the summer of 2017... did not pitch as a junior in 2017 ... earned All-District 16-6A Second Team as a pitcher as a sophomore in 2016 ... recorded a 5-2 record with a 2.89 ERA and 61 strikeouts as a sophomore in 2016 ... played summer ball for the Evoshield Canes National Team under coach Jeff Petty ... helped team win the 2017 WWBA 17U Championship ... named to the All-Tournament team at the World Wood Bat Association National Championship in the summer of 2017 … invited to play in 2015 and 2017 National Showcases … awarded 2018 Perfect Game Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams … also awarded 2016 and 2017 Perfect Game Preseason Underclassmen All-American First and Second Teams respectively.
