Seedlings Book Launch

Tyler's Community Arts Practices program cordially invites all Temple students, faculty and staff to the launch of the Seedlings coloring book, a fun interactive tool for engaging and educating the public about extreme heat and climate justice issues.

The event will include four interactive and informational stations where students can make art, share stories, and learn about climate issues.

1. Jumbo Coloring Station: attendees will be able to work collaboratively to color in large pages from the book while engaging in conversation and storytelling.

2. Shade-cycle Station: attendees will receive green tea packets as a seasonal treat, as well as more information about the Trust for Public Land, Heat Response, and Community Arts Practices programs at Tyler School of Art and Architecture.

3. Climate Grief Therapeutic Art Station: attendees can participate in a therapeutic art-making activity and discuss climate grief. They will also be given readings about climate grief and directions for activities they can do on their own.

4. Seedlings Book Giveaway and Climate Conversations Station: attendees can meet Seedlings' primary creators and respond to prompts intended to facilitate conversation and collect oral histories. An Art Education student will demonstrate how to use the coloring book as an educational tool.
